      <image:title>Carbon Dioxide - Carbon Dioxide</image:title>
<image:caption>Carbon Dioxide is often considered the first clean agent. An odorless, invisible gas at room temperature it is stored either in high pressure steel bottles or in refrigerated low pressure bulk containers. CO2 leaves no residue which makes it highly favorable. It had been widely installed throughout the years however in recent years it has become constrained to unoccupied spaces as newer agents such as NOVEC 1230, FM-200, and Water Mist systems can safely protect these areas.</image:caption>

      <image:title>FM-200 - FM-200</image:title>
<image:caption>Developed as a replacement for older clean agents, FM-200 is known for it’s zero ozone depletion potential. Colorless and odorless, FM-200 acts by pulling heat out of the fire and then chemically interfering with the combustion process . At normal design concentrations, FM-200 is safe in occupied spaces. Electrically non-conductive and residue free, it is a natural choice to protect electronic equipment in a safe and effective way. We provide legacy services to these systems so if you need to update ,repair, or replace we can help.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Spot Detection - Spot Detection</image:title>
<image:caption>Spot detectors are the most commonly used fire detection devices available. There are two basic forms of spot detectors, heat and smoke. The defining characteristic of a spot detector is that the sensing elements are located at distinct point throughout the protected area. The device may be a simple as a bi-metal strip or it may have built in electronics to perform signal processing and communications to a control panel.</image:caption>

<image:title>Spot Detection - Heat Detectors Heat detectors are generally one of two types, fixed temperature or rate-of-rise. When the sensing element of a fixed temperature detector exceeds a set point, the device goes into alarm. Rate-of-rise detectors respond more rapidly as they anticipate that a temperature level will be reached by measuring how fast the temperature is changing.</image:title>

      <image:title>Deluge - Deluge</image:title>
<image:caption>Deluge sprinkler systems are used on fast growing and spreading fires. The sprinkler heads on a deluge system are without thermal actuators (open) so water admitted into the sprinkler piping is discharged through all of the heads simultaneously. The result is a high density of water over an entire area. The water discharge is initiated by a releasing panel connected to smoke, heat or flame detectors. Typical uses of theses systems include airplane hangars, fuel loading racks, conveyor belts and flammable liquid storage rooms. Deluge systems can also be used in conjunction with fire fighting foam. The tendency in recent years is to use UL listed ,FM approved pre-assembled packages that integrate the deluge valve and trim with the releasing panel. These packages are factory assembled and tested before delivery to the site.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Preaction - Preaction</image:title>
<image:caption>Preaction fire sprinkler systems replace water in sprinkler lines with compressed air or gas. The result is a system with the reliability of sprinkler protection coupled with a greatly reduced risk of accidental water damage. There are two widely used versions; single interlock and double interlock. Single Interlock preaction systems use a detection and release system to control a deluge valve. The deluge valve is maintained closed in normal conditions. Piping between the deluge valve and the automatic sprinkler heads is filled with compressed air or nitrogen. In the event of a fire, the detection system will cause the deluge valve to open, admitting water into the pipes, At this point, the single interlock system performs in the same way as a standard wet pipe sprinkler system; water will discharge from automatic sprinkler heads that have actuated. Integrated packaged systems are far preferred for these systems which rely on the interconnection of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical subsystems. These UL listed and FM approved packaged systems are assembled and tested in factory facilitating the specification of the equipment and enhancing system reliability. Double Interlock preaction systems use a detection and release system to control a deluge valve. The deluge valve is maintained closed in normal conditions. Piping between the deluge valve and the automatic sprinkler heads is filled with compressed air or nitrogen. Double interlock systems require a detection of fire and the loss of air or nitrogen from the pipes to open the deluge valve. Integrated packaged systems are far preferred for these systems which rely on the interconnection of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical subsystems. These UL listed and FM approved packaged systems are assembled and tested in factory facilitating the specification of the equipment and enhancing system reliability.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Waterspray systems employ specialized nozzle that direct water onto the burning surfaces of a three dimensional fire. <image:title>Watermist - Watermist</image:title>
<image:caption>Watermist systems are characterized by the production of much smaller sized water droplets. The smaller water droplets increase the surface area of the water being discharged which enhances it’s effectiveness. By combining the effects of cooling, oxygen displacement and reduced radiative heat, fire is controlled more efficiently resulting in smaller pumps, reduced pipe sizes, less water damage and savings throughout.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Spot Heat Detection - Spot Heat Detectors</image:title>
<image:caption>Heat detectors are simple and reliable devices that can be used in areas with a high background smoke level or to detect fires that produce little or no smoke. Heat detectors are generally one of two types, fixed temperature or rate-of-rise. When the sensing element of a fixed temperature detector exceeds a set point, the device goes into alarm. Rate-of-rise detectors respond more rapidly as they anticipate that a temperature level will be reached by measuring how fast the temperature is changing.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Spot Smoke Detection - Spot Smoke Detectors</image:title>
<image:caption>Spot smoke detectors are used in a wide variety of installations, they are generally of two types, photoelectric or ionization some models integrate a thermal sensor to provide a higher resistance to nuisance alarming. There are standard (zoned), and addressable versions. Zoned spot smoke detectors are less complex and suitable for smaller systems. The addressable type can provide individual responses, and benefit from drift compensation and individual control. This type is better suited for large, complex systems. Either type is well-suited for general smoke detection in areas that are not complicated by environmental factors and do not require very early smoke detection.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Linear heat detection provides a continuous detection of heat along its entire path. A linear heat detector combines the sensing element and the signal carrying element of a detection system in one component - the cable. Linear heat detection is an excellent option in cable trays and conveyors but is useful in many other instances. It is particularly well suited for harsh environments. Linear heat detectors can also provide a precise location of where an alarm is occurring.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Aspirated Smoke Detection - Aspirated Smoke Detection</image:title>
<image:caption>Aspirated smoke detection is the preferred choice for very early detection of fires. Aspirated smoke detectors draw air samples throughout the protected space and transport them to the detector. The aspirated system rather than replicating a large number of low-cost devices used in spot type systems, uses one sophisticated detector to analyse the samples. The resulting detection can provide as much as a 90 minute advantage in early warning compared to a spot detector. Aspirated detectors are also able to operate easily in high air flow areas, in large atria, in dirty and cold environments, and other places where conventional detectors can’t.</image:caption>
