There’s more than one way to put out a fire.

Water

Water is the best known fire extinguishing agent. It is plentiful and generally easy to apply. Water extinguishes fire by cooling, by diluting oxygen from the combustion reaction, and by separating fuel from flames. New technologies make water an even more effective agent in surprising ways reducing water supply costs and limiting water damage during extinguishment.

Clean Agent

When the water used to extinguish a fire becomes a threat to the contents being protected, a different approach is needed. Clean agents that are safe for electronics, museum contents, and other water-sensitive areas, pack the punch required to knock fires out. Clean agents chemically interrupt the combustion process or choke off oxygen supply to the flames.

Foam

Fire fighting foam was developed to meet the challenge of flammable liquid fires. Foam counters the fast spreading nature of flammable liquids by blanketing burning surfaces and ignitable liquids, choking off the fire at the surface while the water extracts heat to control the situation.

Detection

Successful fire protection strategies rely heavily on early detection to limit fire damage. We provide a number of sophisticated detection technologies that can detect the development of a fire, even before a flame exists. Our knowledge of these systems allow us to integrate them with any number of suppression devices to form a comprehensive fire protection system.
